FRESH FROM THE FARM RESTAURANT AND BAKERY Our home cooking restaurant has been opened one year now and is located in what used to be our roadside stand in the early 70's. The 90's turned it into a country store, a place where I could sell my peach preserves, tamales and t-shirts. We began construction on our small , (15 x 15), in the late 90's and doubled it in size a year later. Now we serve up freshness 5 days a week. A perfect transition from and little produce stand 40 years ago to a small country restaurant.

Enjoy photo's as you scroll down. If you are looking for pickled products ie. beets, pickles, preserves etc. you can find them in the Restaurant. During festivals all of our pickled product and preserves are located in our Country Store.

U-PICK GARDEN & ORCHARDS

Organic ( we are not certified organic, but we have not used pesticides or fertilizers on our gardens or orchards for over 35 years.) So we consider that pretty organic. We started growing vegetables and fruits at Schnepf Farms and selling them at a small roadside stand for years. Pretty soon, people drove from everywhere to pick peaches, apricots and sweet corn. Currently Schnepf Farms offers an opportunity to U-Pick 9 months a year. During July, August and September, farm tractors are busy plowing and planting the fall & winter garden. Cost for U-Pick vegetables is $1.50 per pound for whatever you pick. Fruits (Peaches, apricots, plums and apples) prices are determined in the Spring when the crop is ready. U-pick gardens are open the same time our restaurant is beginning in the month of November. The garden is not open during festivals unless you pay the admission price.

We are currently picking: Zucchini Squash, Okra (froze), Sweet Peas (or sugar peas) (a little frozen), broccoli, green onions, carrots (use shovel), cauliflower soon, beets, turnips. Enjoy! cabbage (purple & green) possibly the end of January
